Holiday drama bingeing is the most dangerous fangirl period of all time. I had heard and seen so much hype surrounding this drama but had never gotten to actually watching it. I’m not a big fan of the female teacher and hadn’t known about any of the others before I started watching Doctor Stranger with Lee Jong Suk. So I decided, why not. Let’s see where he started from and boy…was I blown away.
I’m not quite sure whether it was the acting or the story itself, but I found myself unable to stop once I had started. Unlike most other high school dramas, School 2013 deals with issues that would normally be considered taboo, bullying, gangs, suicide, disabilites, physical assault etc. Even still, it deals with it in a way that conveys the seriousness of it all in a ‘light-hearted’ manner. There isn’t the usual gore involved and although there are one or two scenes with ‘blood’, it’s much less than many others.
